02.24.09 Breakfast & Lunch

Got in 8 hours of sleep...6:30am - 2:30pm. Got ready for work and Dave and Ang were heading over to the old place early so they could haul boxes of books over to the new place.

I printed some coupons and left a bit early to hit SuperTarget for some more groceries. I was greeted by a beautiful 40 degree day here in Minnesnowta.

Got to the store about 4pm and I ended up buying (Bag of Spinach $2.50, Cauliflower $2.50 - $1 coupon = $1.50, Market Pantry Natural Peanut Butter $2.20, 2 Cans Cream of Mushroom Soup $2.50 - $1 coupon = $1.50, Muir Glen Organic Cajun Style Chicken Gumbo Soup $2.50 - $1 coupon = $1.50, Annie Chun's Sprouted Brown Rice $3 - $1 coupon = $2, Tasty Bite Kashmir Spinach Indian Cuisine $2.80, Whole Wheat Couscous $7 - $1.50 coupon = $5.50, Reduced Fat Parmesan Cheese $2.50, Grape Powerade Zero $1, Edy's NSA Coffee Ice Cream $4, Edy's NSA Cookies n' Cream Ice Cream $4 and Kashi TLC Fruit & Grain Pumpkin Pie Bars $2.50 - $1 coupon = $1.50. Total grocery bill = $32.50 Total coupons = $6.50, total savings including sale prices = $9.80, 30% total savings.

Arrived at work about 5:40pm and put my groceries away. Didn't feel like an English Muffin and was excited to try the Indian Dish I bought so I heated up the Annie Chun's Sprouted Brown Rice and the Tasty Bite Kashmir Spinach Paneer Dish (Palak Paneer) and mixed them together and the flavor was incredible. Makes me want to go to an Indian Buffet and sample a bit of everything and decide what I like.

Work has been pretty busy tonight...I went on my break at 9:45pm and in honor of Mardi Gras I made myself a bowl of Muir Glen Organic Cajun Style Chicken Gumbo Soup and my, was that tasty. Breakfast and Lunch have been amazingly flavorful today!
