02.17.09 Breakfast

Got in 8 hours of sleep 6:30am - 2:30pm. Woke up and got dressed and snacked on a Cinnamon Roll Larabar while I was getting ready.

Headed downstairs around 3pm and Dave and Ang were on their laptops in the living room and I wanted to watch something together so we watched the latest Giada at Home on our DVR where she recreated a meal they ate in Paris. The steak and brie croissanwich with arugula and pepper looked delish! She also made a mushroom and parsley salad and raspberry rose pots de creme for dessert.

After the show I said goodbye to Dave and Ang and they are going to stay home and clean up around the house today.

I left around 4pm and it was a gorgeous 42 degrees out so I wore my black trench and headed to SuperTarget for some groceries with all my coupons;) I bought a Cauliflower ($1.50 - $1 coupon = $0.50), Mushrooms $1.70, Sugar Free Angel Food Cake $5, Jenny-O Sweet Turkey Sausage ($3 - $1 coupon = $2), Chipotle Light Mayo $2, Fire Roasted Kashi Crackers ($3 - $1 coupon = $2), 2 boxes of Whole Wheat Crackers $5.50, Kashi Blackberry Graham Soft Baked Cereal Bars ($2.30 - $2 coupon = $0.30), South Beach Diet FiberFit S'mores Bars ($3 - $2 coupon = $1), Del Monte NSA Peached $2.30, 6 cans of Soup ($9.10 - $1 - $1.10 - $1.10 - $1.10 - $1.10 = $3.70), Edy's NSA Coffee Ice Cream $4, and Edy's NSA Cookies N' Cream Ice Cream $4.

Total grocery bill = $34 even (saved $12.40 with coupons! Says I saved a total of $16.30 through sales too)

Then I headed to Cub Foods because SuperTarget doesn't carry Orzo. Went into Cub and picked up a 32oz container of Texmati Whole Wheat Orzo pasta for about $6.

So groceries were $40 total today.

Headed to work and put all the groceries away in one of our fridges and made myself a toasted Thomas English Muffin with Smucker's Natural Peanut Butter and Blueberry Preserves and drank a cup of Calorie Countdown along with it.
